College Town, v.3 (final)
Additions: two more buildings (my house and ATLAS), some more trees and mountains, and better lighting. I used vertex, edge and face editing for modeling and applying materials to all three buildings and the mountains, and a few Boolean modifiers on the buildings.
This is my final version of the town. Definitely more comfortable working in edit mode now!
College Town, v.2
Looking slightly better! I used Boolean modifiers to make the roof, and vertex, edge and face editing to shape and color the building. It's difficult to see, but the door and window are slightly extruded from the rest of the wall.

Ok, more like a ghost town. Apparently I don't understand Blender's edit mode as well as I thought, and I'm having a surprisingly difficult time with this assignment. Shown below are my initial crude model of the Salto coffee shop in Nederland (left), and my in-progress improved model (right) which takes more advantage of vertex and edge editing. I'm struggling to add the roof, and haven't made nearly as much progress as I anticipated. However, I will keep working on this assignment until it looks great!
